Pickled Radish Ingredients
Method
Pickling Process
- 1
Prepare the Radish
Peel the daikon radish and slice it into thin rounds or strips, depending on your preference.
- 2
Make the Brine
In a saucepan, combine the rice vinegar, sugar, salt, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar and salt dissolve completely.
- 3
Add Chili Flakes
Once the brine is ready, remove it from the heat and stir in the red chili flakes for a spicy kick.
- 4
Combine Radish and Brine
Place the sliced radish in a clean jar and pour the hot brine over the radish, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- 5
Cool and Refrigerate
Allow the jar to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, sprinkle sesame seeds on top and seal the jar. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
