Method
Biscuit Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- 3
Cut in Butter
Cut the unsalted butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4
Add Milk
Pour in the milk gradually, stirring until the dough just comes together. Be careful not to overmix.
- 5
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until smooth. Pat the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter or a glass.
- 6
Bake
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Filling Preparation
- 7
Cook the Sausage
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
