Method

Preparing the Chicken

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a large bowl, combine buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Coating

In a shallow dish, mix the all-purpose flour with a pinch of salt and pepper. This will be used to coat the chicken.

  3. 3

    Fry the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from buttermilk and allow excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture until fully coated. Fry the chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Cooking Bacon and Assembling the Club

  1. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the TenderbellyⓇ bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Tomato

Slice the tomato into even slices.

  3. 6

    Assemble the DBC Club

On a plate or cutting board, place one piece of fried chicken. Top with a slice of cheddar cheese, followed by two slices of bacon. Add shredded iceberg lettuce and tomato slices on top. Drizzle with house-made chipotle ranch dressing, and top with another piece of fried chicken if desired.

Making the Chipotle Ranch Dressing

  1. 7

    Mix the Dressing

In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
