Method
Preparation
- 1
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
Cooking
- 3
Combine Mixtures
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet ingredients. Gently mix with a spatula until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- 4
Heat the Pan
Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with a little butter or cooking spray.
- 5
Cook Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- 6
Serve
Remove pancakes from the skillet and keep warm. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve pancakes warm with maple syrup, fresh berries, and whipped cream as desired.
