Method

Pickles Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the House-Made Pickles

In a mixing bowl, combine sliced cucumbers, white vinegar, sugar, salt, and dill. Stir well to dissolve the sugar and salt. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Burger Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Burger Patties

Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions (approximately 2 ounces each). Form each portion into a loose ball without compressing it too tightly.

  2. 3

    Cook the Burger Patties

Preheat a cast-iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Season the balls of beef with salt and black pepper. Place 4 balls on the hot skillet and smash them down with a spatula to form thin patties. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a crust forms, then flip and top each patty with a slice of American cheese. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted. Remove and repeat with the remaining balls.

  3. 4

    Toast the Brioche Buns

In a separate pan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the brioche buns, cut side down, and toast until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Spread burger sauce on the bottom half of each toasted brioche bun. Add a layer of diced onions, followed by two cheese-covered patties. Top with house-made pickles and cover with the top half of the bun.

Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Cook the Waffle Fries

Prepare the frozen waffle fries according to package instructions, typically baking or frying until golden and crispy. Once cooked, season with seasoned salt to taste.
