Tea Preparation

Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.

Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the saucepan and discard them.
Sweetening and Cooling

Add Sugar
While the tea is still warm, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar until fully dissolved.

Add Cold Water
Pour in 2 cups of cold water to the sweetened tea, stirring gently to combine.

Let the sweet tea cool to room temperature, then transfer it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
