Prepare the Sour Mix
In a shaker, combine equal parts fresh lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake well and strain into a clean container. Your house-made sour mix is ready.

Mix the Cocktail
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add Johnnie Walker Red, Solerno Blood Orange, and the house-made sour mix. Shake vigorously until well chilled.

Serve
Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass. Carefully float the San Esteban Malbec on top by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon.

Garnish (Optional)
Garnish with a twist of orange peel or a blood orange slice if desired.
