Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Macaroni

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt and stir in the elbow macaroni. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Cheese Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Roux

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 4 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour. Whisk together for 1-2 minutes until the mixture is bubbly and golden.

  2. 3

    Add Milk

Slowly whisk in 2 cups of milk until fully incorporated. Continue cooking until the mixture begins to thicken, about 5 minutes.

  3. 4

    Add Cheese and Seasonings

Reduce the heat to low and add 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese and 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheeses have melted and the sauce is smooth. Add 1 tsp of mustard powder, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 0.5 tsp of salt, and 0.25 tsp of black pepper.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 5

    Combine Macaroni and Sauce

Add the cooked macaroni and 1 cup of cooked lobster meat to the cheese sauce. Stir gently until the macaroni and lobster are well coated with the sauce.

Baking

  1. 6

    Prepare the Topping

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a small bowl, mix 0.5 cups of breadcrumbs, 1 tsp of paprika, and 2 tbs of chopped parsley.

  2. 7

    Bake the Macaroni

Transfer the lobster macaroni mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the breadcrumb topping evenly over the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
