Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, salt, dried rosemary, and dried thyme until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the Kansas City strip steaks in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F (232°C).

  2. 4

    Grill the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Place the steaks on the hot grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or adjust time for desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Rest the Steaks

Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Serving

  1. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Slice the Kansas City strip steaks against the grain. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
