Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Spinach

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add spinach, salt, and pepper, and cook until wilted (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool.

  3. 3

    Mix Ricotta Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, half of the Parmesan, fresh basil leaves, salt, and pepper. Add the cooled spinach and mix well.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Lasagna

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place 3 lasagna noodles on top. Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, then add more marinara sauce. Repeat the layers two more times, finishing with noodles and marinara on top.

  5. 5

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top layer of sauce.

  6. 6

    Bake

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  7. 7

    Cool and Serve

Let the lasagna cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
