Prepare Casserole

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cube the Bread
Cut the sourdough bread into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Make the Custard
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until smooth.

Combine Ingredients
Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes and stir gently to combine, ensuring all bread is coated.

Add Cream Cheese
Cut the cream cheese into small cubes and fold them into the bread mixture. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes to soak.

Transfer to Baking Dish
Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the mixed berries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the berries are soft and syrupy, about 5-7 minutes.
