Method
Crust Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crust
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until all crumbs are evenly moistened.
- 2
Form the Crust
Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and slightly up the sides of a 9-inch springform pan. Make sure it is evenly packed.
- 3
Bake the Crust
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, until set and lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool while preparing the filling.
Filling Preparation
- 4
Make the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add in the granulated sugar and mix until well combined.
- 5
Add Remaining Ingredients
Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finally, add the all-purpose flour and blend until smooth.
- 6
Pour the Filling
Pour the cheesecake filling into the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- 7
Bake the Cheesecake
Bake in the oven at 325°F (160°C) for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool slowly.
- 8
Chill the Cheesecake
After cooling, remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.
