Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Soak the Potatoes

Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes. This helps remove excess starch and makes them crispier.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  4. 4

    Season the Fries

Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a paper towel. In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and dried oregano until evenly coated.

  5. 5

    Bake the Fries

Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the fries from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve hot and enjoy!
