Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Steak
Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps them cook more evenly.
- 2
Season the Steaks
Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Generously season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- 3
Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 4
Sear the Steaks
Add the ribeye steaks to the hot skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side, until a golden-brown crust forms.
- 5
Add Aromatics
Flip the steaks and add the garlic cloves, rosemary, and butter to the skillet. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, basting the steaks with the melted butter.
- 6
Check for Doneness
Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, it should read 130-135°F (54-57°C).
- 7
Rest the Steaks
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
- 8
Serve
Slice the ribeye steaks against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
