Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Au Jus

In a saucepan, heat the beef broth over medium heat until it simmers. This will serve as your au jus for dipping.

  2. 2

    Warm the Roast Beef

Add the sliced roast beef to the saucepan with the au jus. Let it marinate in the broth for about 5 minutes until warmed through.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the hoagie rolls and layer with warm roast beef. Top with slices of Provolone cheese.

  4. 4

    Melt the Cheese

Place the assembled sandwiches under a broiler for about 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the sandwiches with a side of the warm au jus for dipping and a dollop of horseradish sauce.
