Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Chill Mixing Glass

Begin by chilling a mixing glass by filling it with ice cubes. This will ensure the cocktail is served cold.

  2. 2

    Measure and Pour Ingredients

Once the mixing glass is chilled, discard the ice and measure 1 oz of 1970s Plymouth gin. Pour it into the mixing glass.

  3. 3

    Add Vermouth

Next, measure out 1 oz of 1970s Cinzano Rosso and add it to the mixing glass with the gin.

  4. 4

    Add Campari

Finally, measure 1 oz of 1970s Campari and add it to the mixing glass, combining all three ingredients.

  5. 5

    Stir the Cocktail

Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds. This will chill and dilute the cocktail properly.

  6. 6

    Strain into Glass

Prepare an old-fashioned or rocks glass with fresh ice cubes. Strain the mixture from the mixing glass into the prepared glass.

  7. 7

    Garnish

Twist an orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it into the glass as a garnish.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your Vintage Negroni!
