Prepare the Espresso
Brew 1 cup of espresso using your preferred method. Allow it to cool slightly.

Mix the Base
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of mascarpone cheese and 2 cups of eggnog. Use a whisk or electric mixer to blend until smooth and creamy.

Add Liquors
Pour 1 cup of amaretto and 0.5 cups of Vin Santo into the mascarpone and eggnog mixture. Stir gently until well combined.

Incorporate Espresso
Slowly add the brewed espresso to the mixture, stirring continuously to ensure everything is well mixed. If desired, add 1 tsp of coffee grounds for extra depth of flavor.

Layer the Tiramisu
In a trifle dish or individual serving glasses, spoon a layer of the mascarpone mixture at the bottom. If desired, add ladyfinger cookies soaked briefly in espresso or eggnog before adding the next layer of the mixture.

Continue layering the mascarpone mixture and ladyfingers until the dish is filled, finishing with a layer of the mascarpone mixture on top.

Cover the tiramisu and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the texture to set.

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle chocolate shavings if desired.
