Base Ingredients

Absinthe Rinse

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Glass

Begin by chilling a rocks glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the cocktail.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Absinthe Rinse

In a separate glass, pour 0.5 oz of absinthe. Swirl it around the inside of the glass to coat the walls, then discard any excess absinthe. Set the glass aside.

  3. 3

    Mix the Cocktail

In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine 1 oz of Remy Martin 1738, 1 oz of Milam & Greene Rye, 0.5 oz of Poli Chamomile Liqueur, and 2 dashes of chamomile tincture.

  4. 4

    Stir and Strain

Stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until well chilled. Then, strain the mixture into the prepared absinthe-rinsed rocks glass.

Garnish

  1. 5

    Serve

Your Chamomile Sazerac is now ready to be enjoyed. Optionally, you can garnish it with a twist of lemon peel or a chamomile flower for an aromatic finish.
