Serving Corona Extra

   Chill beer

   Refrigerate the Corona Extra until it reaches 35–45°F (1.5–7°C). If serving immediately and the beer is not already cold, place the bottle or can in a bucket of ice and water for 10–15 minutes or in the freezer for 20–30 minutes (monitor to avoid freezing).

   Prepare glass (optional)

   If you prefer to pour the beer, choose a clean, chilled pint or lager glass. If you prefer to drink from the bottle, skip to the next step. Optionally chill the glass in the refrigerator or freezer for a few minutes.

   Open bottle or can

   Carefully open the Corona Extra. If you plan to insert the lime into the neck, keep the bottle upright and ensure no glass chips from a damaged bottle cap.

   Add ice (optional)

   If you like your beer extra cold, add the optional 3 ice cubes to the glass before pouring. Note: ice will slightly dilute the beer as it melts and is not traditional.

   Pour (optional)

   If pouring, tilt the glass at about 45 degrees and pour the beer slowly down the side. As foam forms, gradually straighten the glass to create a modest head of about 1/2 inch (12 mm).

   Prepare lime

   Cut a fresh lime into wedges. Take one wedge, run it around the rim of the bottle or glass to impart aroma and a touch of juice, then insert the wedge into the neck of the bottle or squeeze into the glass and drop it in.

   Serve

   Serve immediately while cold. If served from the bottle with a lime in the neck, hold the bottle by the base to avoid warming the beer with your hand.
