Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruits

Wash all the fruits thoroughly. Slice the oranges and lemons into thin rounds. Cut the lime into wedges. If using peaches or apples, slice them thinly.

  2. 2

    Combine Fruits

In a large pitcher, combine the sliced oranges, lemons, limes, berries, and peaches or apples. Stir gently to mix.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Add the Liquids

Pour in the bottle of red or white wine followed by the orange juice and soda water (or lemon-lime soda) into the pitcher with the fruits.

  2. 4

    Sweeten the Sangria

Add the granulated sugar and stir until it is dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.

  3. 5

    Add Flavor

Drop in the cinnamon stick for added flavor. This will infuse the sangria beautifully.

Chilling

  1. 6

    Chill the Sangria

Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight. This allows the flavors to meld together.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Sangria

Serve in glasses filled with ice, and garnish with additional fruit slices if desired. Enjoy your refreshing sangria!
