Burger Directions
1. Prepare the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and shape into four equal patties.
2. Cook the Patties
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Add a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
3. Prepare the Buns
While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or skillet until golden brown.
4. Assemble the Burgers
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, add lettuce, a slice of tomato, a cooked patty with melted cheese, onion slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
Fries Directions
5. Prepare the Potatoes
Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips to make fries.
6. Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
7. Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
8. Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
