Method

Prepare Avocado Mixture

  1. 1

    Scoop Avocados

Cut the ripe avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mash Avocados

Using a fork or potato masher, smash the avocado to your desired consistency.

  3. 3

    Add Lime Juice

Pour in the lime juice and mix well to combine, which will also help prevent the avocado from browning.

  4. 4

    Chop Serrano Pepper

Finely chop the serrano pepper (remove seeds for less heat if desired) and add to the avocado mixture.

  5. 5

    Chop Cilantro

Chop the fresh cilantro and add to the avocado mixture along with the salt. Mix everything together until well combined.

Toast Bread

  1. 6

    Toast Multigrain Bread

Toast the multigrain bread slices in a toaster or under a broiler until golden brown and crispy.

Assemble the Dish

  1. 7

    Spread Avocado Mixture

Evenly spread the smashed avocado mixture over the toasted multigrain bread slices.

  2. 8

    Top with Diced Tomatoes

Sprinkle the diced tomatoes generously over the avocado spread on each slice.
