Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix until just combined, then form into one large patty.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger

Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip it over. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.

Toppings Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet, add the bacon slices and cook until crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Onion

Slice the red onion into thin rings. You can soak them in cold water for a few minutes to reduce the sharpness if desired.

  3. 5

    Fry the Egg

In the same skillet, crack the egg and cook it sunny-side up or to your preference until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 6

    Toast the Bagel

While the egg is cooking, slice the everything bagel in half and toast it until golden brown.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Burger

Spread cream cheese on the bottom half of the toasted bagel. Place the cooked burger patty on top, followed by the crispy bacon, sliced red onion, and finally the fried egg. Top with the other half of the bagel.
