Method

Preparing the Fresh Fruit

  1. 1

    Wash and Chop

Rinse the strawberries and blueberries under cold water. Hull the strawberries and slice them into halves or quarters, depending on your preference. Peel and slice the banana.

  2. 2

    Combine

In a medium bowl, combine the prepared strawberries, blueberries, and banana slices.

Making Candied Pecans

  1. 3

    Toast the Pecans

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the pecans and toast them lightly for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently.

  2. 4

    Add Sugar and Vanilla

Sprinkle the granulated sugar over the toasted pecans, add the vanilla extract, and stir well. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sugar has melted and coated the pecans.

  3. 5

    Cool the Pecans

Remove the skillet from the heat and transfer the candied pecans to a parchment paper-lined plate to cool completely.

Assembling the Bowl

  1. 6

    Layer the Yogurt and Granola

In a serving bowl, add a layer of vanilla yogurt (about 1 cup). Sprinkle 1/2 cup of granola over the yogurt.

  2. 7

    Add Fresh Fruit

Spoon the mixed fresh fruit on top of the granola.

  3. 8

    Top with Candied Pecans

Sprinkle the cooled candied pecans over the fresh fruit.

  4. 9

    Finish with Toppings

Add a generous dollop of whipped cream on top of the fruit and pecans. Drizzle honey over the whipped cream.
