Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the BBQ seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- 3
Preheat the Smoker
Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C) using your preferred wood chips for smoking (hickory or applewood work great).
- 4
Smoke the Wings
Place the seasoned wings on the smoker rack. Smoke them for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and are nice and crispy.
- 5
Serve
Remove the wings from the smoker and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Pair with Alabama White Sauce.
