Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Muddle the Mint and Sugar

In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and granulated sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press down and twist the mint leaves to release their oils, mixing them with the sugar.

  2. 2

    Add Lime Juice

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from both halves into the glass. You can also drop one half into the glass for additional flavor.

  3. 3

    Pour in the Rum

Add the white rum to the glass with the muddled mint, sugar, and lime juice, stirring gently to combine.

  4. 4

    Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill the mixture.

  5. 5

    Top with Soda Water

Pour soda water over the ice until the glass is full. Stir gently to mix the ingredients together.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish your mojito with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately and enjoy!
