Method
Prepare the Potato Layer

Cook the Potatoes
Boil the yellow potatoes in salted water until tender, about 20-25 minutes. Drain and let cool.

Mash the Potatoes
Once cooled, peel the potatoes and mash them in a large bowl.

Mix Ingredients
Add lime juice, aji amarillo paste, salt, and olive oil to the mashed potatoes. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
Prepare the Avocado Layer

Season the Avocado
Add lime juice and salt to the mashed avocado and mix until well combined.
Prepare the Crab Layer

Mix Crab Ingredients
In a bowl, combine fresh crab meat, mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, and chopped cilantro. Mix until well combined.
Assemble the Causa

Layer the Ingredients
In a serving dish, spread half of the potato mixture as the first layer. Follow with the avocado layer, then the crab mixture, and top with the remaining potato mixture.

Decorate the top with sliced olives and hard-boiled egg slices.
