Directions
- 1
Prepare the Garlic
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the top off the garlic bulb to expose the cloves. Drizzle with olive oil and wrap in aluminum foil.
- 2
Roast the Garlic
Place the wrapped garlic in the oven and roast for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cloves are soft and caramelized.
- 3
Prepare the Brie
While the garlic is roasting, place the wheel of brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make a few slits in the top of the brie and sprinkle with fresh thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
Bake the Brie
When the garlic is done, remove it from the oven. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake the brie for about 15-20 minutes, or until it is soft and gooey.
- 5
Prepare the Crostinis
Slice the baguette into thin pieces and arrange them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and toast them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
- 6
Assemble the Dish
Once the brie is baked, remove it from the oven. Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of the bulb and spread them on top of the brie. Serve with fig jam, sliced apple, and toasted crostinis on the side.
