Method
Brewing the Tea
- 1
Boil Water
Bring 1 cup of fresh, filtered water to a boil in a kettle.
- 2
Add Tea Leaves
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and let it cool for about 30 seconds to reach the ideal temperature (around 80-85°C or 175-185°F). Add 2 teaspoons of Japanese green tea leaves to a teapot or teacup.
- 3
Steep the Tea
Pour the cooled water over the tea leaves and let them steep for 2-3 minutes. This will allow the flavors to fully develop.
- 4
Strain the Tea
After steeping, strain the tea leaves from the liquid using a fine mesh strainer or a tea infuser.
