Make the Burger Patties
In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal patties.

Cook the Burger Patties
In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach the desired doneness.

During the last minute of cooking, place 2 ounces of smoked goat cheese on each patty to melt.
