Burger Ingredients

Method

Prepare the Slaw

  1. 1

    Make the Asian Slaw

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, and chopped cilantro. In a separate small bowl, whisk together rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, and salt. Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss to combine. Set aside to marinate while you prepare the burgers.

Cook the Burgers

  1. 2

    Form and Cook the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into 4 equal-sized patties. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, brush the patties with Korean BBQ sauce.

Grill the Pineapple

  1. 3

    Grill Pineapple

While the burgers are cooking, grill the pineapple slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side until caramelized and grill marks appear.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 4

    Put It All Together

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster. Spread boom boom sauce on the bottom bun, add the beef patty, top with Asian slaw, grilled pineapple, sliced jalapeños, and chopped scallions. Place the top bun and serve.
