Crab Cakes

Method

Crab Cakes

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crab Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and the egg. Mix gently to combine without breaking up the crab meat.

  2. 2

    Add Vegetables

Finely chop the green onions and fold them into the crab mixture. Add bread crumbs, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix until just combined.

  3. 3

    Form the Cakes

Using your hands, form the mixture into patties, about 1 inch thick. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. 4

    Chill the Cakes

Cover the baking sheet with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help the cakes hold together.

  5. 5

    Cook the Crab Cakes

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the crab cakes and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Spicy Remoulade

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, capers, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  2. 7

    Chill the Remoulade

Cover and refrigerate the remoulade for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.
