Mojito Ingredients
Method
Mojito Preparation
Muddle the Mint
In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and lime juice. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the mint leaves and release their essential oils. Be careful not to tear the leaves too much, as this can make the drink bitter.
Add Sweetness
Pour in the simple syrup over the muddled mint and lime mixture. This will add sweetness to balance the tartness of the lime.
Add Rum
Measure out 2 oz of white rum and add it to the glass. Stir gently to combine the ingredients.
Ice It Up
Fill the glass with ice cubes, ensuring that the mixture is chilled and refreshing.
Garnish and Serve
Garnish with a sprig of mint and two lime wedges on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately with a straw, and enjoy your refreshing mojito!
