Seasoning and Cooking Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Seafood

Rinse the green mussels under cold running water to remove any sand or debris. Remove the beards if present. For the shrimp, rinse under cold water and pat dry. For the lobster tail, split the shell down the back using kitchen scissors to make it easier to cook.

  2. 2

    Mise en Place

Chop the garlic and parsley finely. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Lobster Tail

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the split lobster tail and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the flesh is opaque and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.

  3. 5

    Add the Mussels and Shrimp

Add the cleaned mussels and shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the mussels open and the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

  4. 6

    Finish with Lemon and Parsley

Once the seafood is cooked, squeeze lemon juice over the mixture and add the chopped parsley. Stir well to combine.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Serve the mussels and shrimp in a large bowl or on a platter. Place the lobster tail beside them. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
