For the Apple Tart

Method

Prepare the Apple Tart

  1. 1

    Cook the Apples

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Stir to combine and cook until the apples are tender and caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Tart

Transfer the cooked apples to a pie crust. Fold the edges of the crust over the apples to create a rustic look.

  3. 3

    Bake

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

Serve

  1. 4

    Plate the Tart

Remove the skillet from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm with scoops of bourbon butter pecan ice cream on top.

  2. 5

    Add Toppings

Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with toasted walnuts before serving.
