Method

Prepare the Brisket

  1. 1

    Cook the Brisket

If using leftover smoked brisket, shred it into bite-sized pieces. If cooking from scratch, smoke the brisket according to your preferred recipe until tender. This usually takes around 8-10 hours at low temperature.

  2. 2

    Mix with Barbecue Sauce

In a bowl, mix the shredded brisket with the barbecue sauce until well combined. Set aside.

Assemble the Nachos

  1. 3

    Layer the Tortilla Chips

On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread out the tortilla chips in an even layer.

  2. 4

    Add Brisket

Evenly distribute the barbecue brisket over the tortilla chips, ensuring each chip gets topped.

  3. 5

    Sprinkle Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the brisket, covering as much area as possible.

  4. 6

    Add Jalapeños

Scatter the jalapeños over the cheese layer. You can adjust the amount based on your heat preference.

Bake the Nachos

  1. 7

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 8

    Bake

Place the assembled nachos in the oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve

  1. 9

    Top with Toppings

Once out of the oven, top with sour cream, fresh cilantro, and salsa as desired.

  2. 10

    Serve Immediately

Serve the brisket nachos hot and enjoy!
