Method
Preparing the Herb Butter
- 1
Make the Herb Butter
In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, and minced garlic. Mix well until all ingredients are combined. Transfer the mixture onto a piece of parchment paper, shape it into a log, and refrigerate until firm.

Fry the Potatoes
In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Drain and pat dry the soaked potatoes with a paper towel. Carefully add the potatoes in batches to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the fries with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
Cooking the Steak
- 4
Season the Steak
Season both sides of the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper.

Grill the Steak
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the grill with olive oil to prevent sticking. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.
