Method
Pasta Preparation
- 1
Cook the Fettuccine
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Chicken Preparation
- 2
Cook the Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Sauce Preparation
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet used for the chicken, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Combine and Serve
- 4
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained fettuccine to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated with the sauce. Slice the cooked chicken and place it on top of the pasta.
- 5
Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle chopped parsley over the dish for garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy your Chicken Alfredo!
