Prepare the Bruschetta Topping

Chop the Tomatoes
Dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Prepare the Basil
Chop the fresh basil leaves finely and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Add Mozzarella
Cube the mozzarella cheese and mix it into the tomato and basil mixture.

Season the Mixture
Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl. Drizzle in the olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Stir everything together gently until well combined.

Let it Marinate
Let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Toast the Bread

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slice the Bread
Slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Brush with Olive Oil
Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.

Toast the Bread
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crispy. Flip halfway through for even toasting.
Assemble the Bruschetta

Top the Toasted Bread
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Spoon the tomato, basil, and mozzarella mixture generously on top of each slice.

Serve
Serve the bruschetta immediately while the toast is still warm. Enjoy!
