Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).

  2. 2

    Mix the Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined and the mixture resembles wet sand.

  3. 3

    Form the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Use the back of a measuring cup to ensure it's packed tightly.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let it cool slightly while you prepare the filling.

Cheesecake Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Beat the Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Vanilla

Gradually add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Sour Cream

Add the sour cream and mix until fully incorporated and smooth.

  4. 8

    Add Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 9

    Pour into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust in the springform pan.

  6. 10

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and only slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool gradually.

  7. 11

    Chill the Cheesecake

After 1 hour, remove the cheesecake from the oven and allow it to cool to room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible.

Topping Preparation

  1. 12

    Prepare the Toppings

Once the cheesecake has chilled, drizzle caramel sauce and chocolate sauce on top of the cheesecake.

  2. 13

    Add Pecans

Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the caramel and chocolate sauces.

  3. 14

    Serve

Slice the cheesecake and serve chilled. Enjoy your delicious turtle cheesecake!
