Method

Bread Pudding Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Cut the cinnamon raisin bread into 1-inch cubes and place in a large mixing bowl.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and raisins until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet mixture over the bread cubes and gently fold until the bread is soaked. Let it sit for about 15 minutes.

  5. 5

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter. Pour the soaked bread mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.

  6. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set in the center.

Whiskey Cream Sauce Preparation

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, whiskey, and vanilla extract.

  2. 8

    Heat Sauce

Stir the mixture gently until it begins to simmer. Allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.

  3. 9

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve warm over the bread pudding.
