Preparation

    Prepare the Shrimp

    In a bowl, season the peeled and deveined shrimp with salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Set aside.

    Cook the Tasso

    In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the diced Tasso ham and sauté for about 5 minutes until it is browned and crispy.

    Sauté Shrimp

    To the skillet with Tasso, add the seasoned shrimp. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp and Tasso from the skillet and set aside.

    Make Cream Sauce

    In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

    Combine and Serve

    Return the shrimp and Tasso to the skillet, and toss to coat in the Parmesan cream sauce. Stir in the chopped green onions. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until everything is heated through. Serve immediately.
