Eggs

Butter

Optional Add-ins

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a large mixing bowl, crack all 12 large eggs. Add 1 cup of milk, 1 tsp of salt, and 0.5 tsp of black pepper. Whisk the mixture vigorously until the eggs and milk are fully combined and frothy.

  2. 2

    Prepare Add-ins

If using, prepare the optional add-ins by shredding the cheese, chopping the green onions, and dicing the tomatoes. Set these aside for later.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large non-stick skillet or frying pan, add 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter and heat over medium-low heat until melted and bubbling.

  2. 4

    Add the Egg Mixture

Pour the whisked egg mixture into the skillet. Let it sit undisturbed for about 1 minute until the edges start to set.

  3. 5

    Scramble the Eggs

Using a spatula, gently stir the eggs, pushing them from the edges towards the center. Continue this process until the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny.

  4. 6

    Add Optional Ingredients

If desired, sprinkle the prepared shredded cheese, chopped green onions, and diced tomatoes over the eggs. Gently fold them into the eggs until fully incorporated.

  5. 7

    Finish Cooking

Continue to cook the eggs for another minute or until they are fully set but still soft and creamy. Remove from heat immediately to prevent overcooking.
