Method
Preparation of Croutons
- 1
Make the Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, toss the sliced baguette with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated. Spread the bread slices on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- 2
Bake the Croutons
Bake the croutons in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning. Once done, remove from the oven and set aside.
Cooking the Shrimp
- 3
Heat the Olive Oil
In a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
- 4
Add Garlic and Red Pepper Flakes
Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for about 30 seconds until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
- 5
Cook the Shrimp
Add the Gulf shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- 6
Finish with Lemon Juice
Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle the lemon juice over the shrimp. Stir to combine.

- 7

Serve the sautéed shrimp on a plate, topped with crispy croutons. Enjoy immediately while hot!
