Crabcakes

Method

Crabcakes

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lump crab meat, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chopped green onion, egg, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Gently fold the ingredients together until just combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  2. 2

    Shape the Crabcakes

Once the mixture is well combined, form it into patties (about 3 inches in diameter). Place the formed crabcakes on a plate or tray.

  3. 3

    Fry the Crabcakes

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the crabcakes to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Shrimp Alfredo

  1. 4

    Cook the Fettuccine

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 6

    Make the Alfredo Sauce

In the same skillet, add the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  4. 7

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained fettuccine to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. Add the cooked shrimp back into the skillet and toss everything together until heated through.

  5. 8

    Serve

Serve the Shrimp Alfredo hot, garnished with chopped parsley and alongside the crabcakes.
