Oysters

Topping and Accompaniment

Method

Prepare the Garlic Oyster Butter

  1. 1

    Make the Garlic Butter

In a mixing bowl, combine the unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 2

    Chill the Mixture

Transfer the garlic butter mixture to a piece of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Roll it into a log shape and twist the ends to seal. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until firm.

Prepare the Oysters

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).

  2. 4

    Place Oysters on the Grill

Once the grill is hot, carefully place the fresh shucked oysters on the grill grates, cup side down.

  3. 5

    Add Garlic Butter

Remove the garlic butter from the refrigerator and slice into rounds. Place a slice of the garlic butter on top of each oyster.

  4. 6

    Grill the Oysters

Close the grill lid and cook the oysters for about 5-7 minutes or until the butter is bubbling and the oysters are cooked through.

Serve the Dish

  1. 7

    Add Parmesan

Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the oysters in the last few minutes of grilling, allowing it to melt slightly.

  2. 8

    Prepare Grilled Bread

While the oysters are grilling, toast the slices of bread on the grill for about 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.

  3. 9

    Serve

Once the oysters are done, remove them from the grill and serve immediately with the grilled bread on the side for dipping.
