Method

Preparation of Bananas

  1. 1

    Peel and Slice Bananas

Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into diagonal pieces, about 1/2 inch thick.

Cooking Sauce

  1. 2

    Melt Butter

In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter until it starts to bubble.

  2. 3

    Add Brown Sugar

Stir in the brown sugar into the melted butter and mix well until it begins to dissolve and form a smooth sauce.

  3. 4

    Add Bananas

Gently add the sliced bananas to the skillet, making sure they are well coated with the sauce. Cook for about 2 minutes, allowing them to caramelize slightly.

  4. 5

    Add Rum and Spices

Carefully add the dark rum, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring gently until the bananas are tender and the sauce is thickened.
