Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meat

In a bowl, combine the sliced meat with olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced onions, red, and green bell peppers. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and slightly charred. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Meat

In the same skillet, add the marinated meat. Cook for about 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meat is cooked through. Return the cooked vegetables to the skillet and mix well.

  4. 4

    Melt the Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded Monterey Jack cheese over the meat and vegetable mixture. Cover the skillet for a couple of minutes to allow the cheese to melt.

  5. 5

    Serve

Warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan or microwave. Serve the fajitas hot with rice, refried beans, sour cream, lettuce, and guacamole on the side.
