Burger Patties

Burger Toppings

Burger Buns

Method

Preparing the Patties

1

Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

2

Shape Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Cooking the Patties

3

Preheat Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, you may want to add a tablespoon of oil to prevent sticking.

4

Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes. If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assembling the Burgers

5

Prepare Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster if desired.

6

Add Toppings

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer lettuce, a cooked patty, a slice of tomato, pickles, and then add ketchup and mustard to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.
