Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Firecracker Sauce

In a bowl, mix together hot sauce, honey, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and lime juice until well combined. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Grill the Chicken

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and juices run clear. During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of pepperjack cheese on each chicken breast to melt.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

Slice the red and green bell peppers, onion, and jalapenos (remove seeds for less heat if desired). In a skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat and sauté the vegetables until they are tender, about 5-6 minutes.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the grilled chicken breasts in half if desired. On the hoagie roll, layer the grilled chicken, sautéed vegetables, and drizzle with the firecracker sauce. Top with additional jalapenos if desired and close the sandwich.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot, with extra firecracker sauce on the side.
